Mashed potatoes anyone? Mashed potatoes are one of the most sinful indulgences we can sink our teeth into. But now there is a way to enjoy mashed potatoes on the Atkins Diet without ingesting the carbs it comes with.
1 fresh head of cauliflower
1 cup Dixie Diner Mashers Potato Mix
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 cup cream cheese
4 Tablespoons butter substitute (I cant believe it’s not butter , Smart Balance, ETC)Â
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1 egg yolk
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil, cilantro, or parsley
1 teaspoon chicken stock seasoning (optional)

A common problem we all face as we grow older is insomnia. This probably scares a lot of you because millions of us already suffer with insomnia already. Sleep medication remains the number one drug prescription and stress if often the cause of the problem in younger adults. As we age, however, insomnia is caused less by stress and more by the process of aging itself. This process will actually lead to seniors needing about an hour less sleep per night.Â

Although the Atkins diet has been criticized for encouraging people to consume foods high in fat and not restricting caloric intake, the fact remains that the diet is effective at shedding pounds and keeping cholesterol levels low. However, the Atkins diet also advises to avoid fruits, vegetables, breads, and grainsâ??all known sources of dietary fiber and a number of vitamins and minerals essential to your body. So, even though the diet may help keep the pounds off, will you need herbal supplements to stay healthy as well?

Hey guys you know every summer there are several ways to cool us down. One is to go swimming of course, another is buying sweets that cools the body down, yes my friends I’m talking about Ice Cream. Now Im going to tell you how to make the sweet summer treat atkins style.
1 cup heavy cream
2 cups half ‘n half
1 cup Splenda
1 Tbsp vanilla extract

For women on the Atkins diet, a big question is whether or not the low-carb plan will help with menopause symptomsâ??or make them worse.
Menopause symptoms begin between the ages of 40 and 55. Menopause itself is defined as the time when a woman ceases to menstruate and therefore stops ovulating every 28 days. While a small percentage of women report no menopause symptoms, the vast majority report a wide variety including: hot flashes, insomnia, vaginal dryness, irregular bleeding, crashing fatigue, gastrointestinal problems (including indigestion, nausea and general gas pain), and even weight gain.Â

Chicken, there are so many ways to prepare chicken. the most basic way (and one of the most fattening ways) to prepare chicken is frying it. Another is the bbq chicken although this gives the chicken unhealthy burn marks. Then the latest one is the orange chicken. Well here is another way to prepare chicken Japanese style.
Ingredients:
1 teaspoon finely shredded orange peel
1 teaspoon orange extract
1/2 cup seltzer water or club soda
1/3 cup dry sherry
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup sugar Substitute (e.g. nutra-sweet, Equal, Splenda…)
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon grated ginger root
12 oz boneless skinless chicken breast halves
8 green onions

Colon cancer is the number two killer among all cancer deaths in the United States. The American Cancer Society lists the consumption of red meat as a common factor linked to several forms of cancer, including colon cancer. So, can the Atkins diet which advocates the consumption of high-protein foods (such as red meats) actually help prevent colon cancer?Â

Who dosent want buffalo wings right? We see them being advertised on TV, posters, even newspapers. Well here is the recipe for a low carb buffalo wings, the best part is you can make this at the comfort of your own home.
* 24 pcs chicken wings
* 1/2 cup oil
* 1/4 cup red wine or tarragon vinegar
* 1 tsp Tabasco sauce
* 1 tsp. garlic salt
* 1 cup bleu cheese dressing
* celery sticks for dipping
